Found this app for calculating gear ratios and was tickled by the extra feature that calculates skid patches for you. If you tick the box for ‘Ambidextrous skidder’ it doubles your number of patches (and, I guess, the lifespan of your tires).

I think there should be a band called Ambedextrous Skidder.
