I mentioned Blueful the other day - a strange, slightly dissociated but still captivating treasure hunt through multiple media platforms, following a mysterious painter as s/he travels, falls in love, evolves. I just finished it. I won’t tell you how it ends…but it’s the prelude to a major new interactive fiction, and there are onward leads if you follow the whole thing through.

I was captivated by the artistry with which different social media platforms were hijacked for each step of the treasure hunt, from Google Calendar to Vimeo. To me, this is the whole piratical spirit of creative endeavour, and indeed of the Web itself: taking something that was designed for one purpose, and startling you with its presence somewhere entirely different.
